Bitcoin has been on a meteoric rise throughout the year, and has become the hot thing to invest in. It reached a record high Monday, and for Bitcoin and their investors it seemed like the sky was the limit. That was Monday. By Friday, bitcoin had lost almost a quarter of its value. Bitcoin, the worlds largest cryptocurrency, lost as much as 30 percent Friday before it bounced back towards the end of the day. In its defense, bitcoin is still worth more than double its value at the start of November. However, bitcoin’s gains have been viewed by many as a bubble about to burst. Others feel that bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general are the wave of the future. With Bitcoin apparently suffering its worst week ever when it comes to its loss of value, a question comes to mind: Has the bitcoin bubble burst?
