Should President Trump pardon Michael Flynn?

President Trump has stirred up more controversy when he refused to rule out pardoning former NSA director Michael Flynn. President Trump was asked about Flynn while on his way to boarding Marine One for a trip to Quantico, where he spoke at the FBI National Academy. ABC News‘ Jonathan Karl asked the president on Friday morning if he’d consider a pardon for Flynn. The president responded to the question with “We’ll see what happens.” The president added, “I don’t want to talk about pardons for Michael Flynn yet. Let’s see. I can say this, when you look at what’s gone on with the FBI and with the justice department, people are very, very angry.”

Michael Flynn has plead guilty to one count of lying to the FBI. Flynn lied about his contact with the Russian ambassador before President Trump took office. It is believed he is now working with special prosecutor Robert Mueller on his investigation into Russian melding during the 2016 presidential election. With President Trump refusing to rule out a pardon, a question comes to mind. Should President Trump Pardon Michael Flynn?
