MADISON, IL — It seems just about every speedway in America has its own signature Sandwich or specialty dish – but ours is the best. And that’s not just our opinion.
Chef David Molina of Sugarfire Smoke House in St. Louis won the top prize of $10,000 at the Sandwich World Championship last week. The culinary tournament was held Orange Beach, Alabama, as part of the 2018 World Food Championship.
The winning entry was Molina’s Cuban Reuben — smoked ham, mustard, pulled pork, pastrami, Swiss cheese and pickles – sandwiched in between two sourdough grilled provolone and white American cheese sandwiches.
