JEFFERSON CITY, MO/December 13, 2017 (STL.News) Governor Eric Greitens has appointed Michael J. Gilley, of Camdenton, as Associate Circuit Judge for Camden County. He will replace the Honorable Matthew Hamner, whom Governor Greitens appointed as Circuit Court Judge.

Michael Gilley has been the elected prosecuting attorney for Camden County since 2015. Before serving as the prosecutor, Gilley worked in private practice for 10 years. He received his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and his LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law. Gilley is a member of the 26th Judicial Circuit Bar Association and a Board member for the Camdenton Laker Athletic Boosters and the Tri-County YMCA of the Ozarks.

“Throughout his career as both a prosecutor and a private practitioner, Michael has shown he is committed to justice and the rule of law,” said Governor Greitens. “He will be an excellent judge for Camden County’s associate circuit court.”
