  • An Indian-origin man in Canada has been sentenced to 46 months' imprisonment for soliciting sex from whom he believed was a 15-year-old American girl.
  • Ontario's Dilbagh Singh had carried on a virtual relationship with the 'girl' for four months before travelling to Arizona to meet her.
  • The operation to nab him was a part of Project Safe Childhood.

  • In January 2017, 57-year-old Singh began an online relationship with a person he believed to be a 15-year-old girl, but who was actually an undercover agent.
  • Four months later in May, he flew from Canada to Arizona to meet her.
  • After he checked into a Flagstaff hotel, local police and federal authorities confronted him. Condoms and alcohol were seized from Singh.
