  • Indian Railways wants to cash in on the lack of direct flights between Nagpur and Hyderabad.
  • At present, flights with a stopover between the two commercial hubs take four hours or more.
  • Railways currently covers the Nagpur-Hyderabad 584-km stretch at a 60kmph average speed in nine hours.
  • It now plans to run trains at 160-200kmph speed to complete the travel in three hours.
