The 'All India Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti' (AIJASS) announced its decision to not celebrate Holi this year.
AIJASS's call for a 'black day' is to protest unfulfillment of reservations demands: Jats are seeking quota in education and government jobs under the OBC category.
Call to not celebrate Holi has received massive response and protesters have been asked to prepare for a Delhi siege.

Jat leader Yashpal Malik has called on Jats to target business community.
Malik asked all supporters of their cause to refrain from shopping or transacting with businesses that refused to give their support for Jat community's demands in writing.
While addressing protesters in Jassia village, he asked the community to stop paying bills to government agencies such as electricity, water, loan repayments etc.

'Black day' to 'Black Holi' Symbolic |
In a door-to-door campaign, the organizing committee of the Jat stir were giving out black scarves to the women and the men were given black turbans to sport.
It appears that the Jat community may observe 'Black Holi' by not celebrating it: even last year Holi was low-key given massive violence in Haryana in February 2016 during the state-wide Jat agitation.

Jats threaten to cut Delhi's milk supply 03 Mar 2017 |
Jat leaders have threatened to cut off the supply of milk to Delhi, if their demands are not met.
Yashpal Malik, the president of the All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti said, "we will not supply milk to private parties in Delhi for a day as a token protest."
He added that they would intensify their stir after Holi.
