Boney Kapoor, the husband of veteran Sri Devi has rubbished the speculations rife in media pertaining to her Death. The new reports claim it was not an accidental death but Sri Devi was murdered.
Kerala DGP (Prisons) Rishiraj Singh made startling assertions regarding her death in his column published in a newspaper. Singh attributed his assertions to a conversation with his friend, a forensic expert Dr Umathadan. Dr Umadathan is, however, not alive to confirm his claims.
“My friend and the late forensic expert Dr Umadathan had told me long back that Sri Devi’s death might have been a murder and not an accidental death. This he told me when I asked him about Sri Devi’s death, out of curiosity,” wrote Singh.

“He also pointed out certain facts to back his claims. According to him, a person will never drown in one-foot deep water, however much he drinks. He will drown only if somebody holds his both legs and sinks his head into the water,” wrote the IPS officer.
Analysing the aspects of her death, people weighed in on her death. Several conspiracy theories erupted on her death.
Boney Kapoor, rejecting the latest speculations about her death told in.com, “I don’t want to react to such stupid stories. There is no need to react because such stupid stories keep coming. Basically, this is somebody’s figment of imagination.”

The post-mortem report of Dubai authorities confirmed the drowning the cause of death. Several Indian police officers contradicted the post-mortem report and asserted that Sri Devi was murdered.

Sri Devi breathed her last in a Dubai hotel after she returned from attending a family wedding in February last year. Her sudden death sent shockwaves to her fans across the world.
Initial reports had cited a heart attack as the cause of her death. “The death of Indian actress Sri Devi occurred due to drowning in her hotel apartment’s bathtub following loss of consciousness,” Dubai police tweeted, citing an autopsy report.
