Action247 Same-Game Parlay for April 20, 2023

Last night we focused our multi-game parlay around two games featuring teams from Los Angeles and a clear betting favorite.

While we’re happy that the Memphis Grizzlies struck back and defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 103-93, we predicted the Lakers were going to win, considering the potential consequences of Ja Morant’s hand injury. The Grizzlies evened their series, as did the Edmonton Oilers, who defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4-2, but we picked that game to hit the over of 6.5.

Although we had two losses, we successfully predicted the Carolina Hurricanes would defeat the New York Islanders, with the Hurricanes winning 4-3 in overtime and taking a 2-0 series lead.

With yesterday’s parlay loss, our weekly record is 0-4, while we’re now 6-6 on individual picks. We’re returning to the same-game parlay to regain our parlay blog betting championship.

Colorado Avalanche over Seattle Kraken (-213)

The Kraken won game one with good goaltending from Philipp Grubauer (34 saves) and are 5-0 in the last five games against the Central Division. The underdog is 5-0 in the previous five meetings, and the road team is 4-0 in the last four.

However, the Kraken’s opposition remains the defending Stanley Cup Champions, Colorado Avalanche. While Seattle is 4-1 against the Avs in the last five games, the Avalanche had won seven of the final eight games of the season and will not be held to one goal on home ice in consecutive games.

Much like we’ve seen so far in the NHL and NBA playoffs, we expect the Avalanche to even the series at 1-1.

Seattle Kraken +1.5 over Colorado Avalanche (-149)

Two of the previous five head-to-head matchups have ended in at least a 1.5-goal spread.

The Kraken have a 49-34 ATS record, while the Avs are 42-41 ATS.

We’re following the trends on this one and taking the Kraken to cover the spread in a losing effort.

Seattle Kraken versus Colorado Avalanche Over 6.0 (-110)

In head-to-head meetings dating back to November 2021, the Avalanche and Kraken have a 2-5 over/under record, having hit the under in five straight games. Despite being among the highest-scoring teams in the NHL, the under is 4-0 in the Kraken’s last four games against the Western Conference.

We’re going against the head-to-head trends as we expect the Kraken to continue to score, while expecting the Avs to have a significantly better shooting percentage tonight.
