HTC Nexus ‘Marlin’ Spotted On AnTuTu

htc nexusAccording to earlier leaked specs, it was revealed that the rumored Htc Nexus “Marlin” handset would be powered by a Qualcomm chipset. The model was not revealed but given that the Snapdragon 820 is pretty much powering all the high-end flagship smartphones of 2016, it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that Marlin would be the same.

The good news is that if you were hoping it was true, your wish has been granted. According to a recent AnTuTu sighting, the Marlin appears to be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, although how accurate the benchmarks are remains to be seen. Other specs revealed in the benchmark includes a QHD display, a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and Android 7.0 Nougat preinstalled.

Now we should note that the Snapdragon 820 reveal is rather interesting. It was earlier suggested that the other Nexus handset, the Sailfish, would also be sporting the Snapdragon 820, or at least until a more recent rumor which suggested a slightly upgraded Snapdragon 821. This could mean that either one of these rumors are wrong, or both phones will sport different chipsets.

Naturally this should be taken with a grain of salt, but here’s hoping the 4th of October reveal is the real deal and we can finally get some official info.
