Security on smartphones is a good thing, which is why we have features like two-factor authentication, fingerprint scanners, iris scanners, encryption, and so on. However we reckon that there might be a point where too much Security could end up being a bit of a nuisance as it could eventually lead to inefficiency.
Such is the case with the latest iOS 9 Security Update. If you are an iPhone user and you are finding yourself being prompted to enter your passcode more often than ever, don’t worry you’re not being hacked and neither are you alone. It turns out that this is thanks to new security rules that is part of iOS 9’s latest update.
Basically if you haven’t used your iPhone or iPad for at least 8 hours, you will be required to enter your passcode again. It also applies if you have not entered your passcode for the past 6 days, meaning that if you rely purely on Touch ID, chances are after a week you will be prompted to enter your passcode again.
