In case Canon’s existing EOS R mirrorless cameras aren’t “pro” enough for you, you might have heard that the company could be working on a new model with an even higher megapixel count. Now according to Canon Rumors, it seems that we will be able to expect an EOS R Camera with an 80MP+ sensor in the first half of 2020.
In addition to reporting on a potential launch date, the report also reveals some additional specs and features of the camera. This includes how this new model will feature a Larger body and grip compared to the existing EOS R, which will come in handy for photographers with larger hands who might be able to appreciate such a design.
It will also introduce a “new style” of joystick and sport a larger LCD on the back of the camera compared to the current lineup of EOS R cameras. It is also rumored to sport a larger viewfinder which can apparently be tilted up and down (although it is unclear if maybe their source was talking about the EVF or the LCD on the back), and will also support dual SD card slots.
