How To Translate Webpages In Safari For iPhone

Google’s Chrome browser for mobile comes with a built-in translation tool. This makes it incredibly easy to Translate websites from one language to another. Unfortunately, Apple has yet to build similar functionality into Safari for the iPhone and iPad, but not to worry, if you prefer to use Safari for your browsing needs, here’s how you can quickly translate websites without having to switch to a different app.

How To Set Up Microsoft Translator For Safari

To begin the translation process, you will first need to download a third-party app. This is the Microsoft Translator app which is available for free from the App Store. Once the app has been successfully installed, here’s how you set it up and begin the translation process.

  1. Open Safari
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom middle of the screen
  3. At the bottom row of icons, scroll all the way to the left and tap More
  4. Tap the toggle to enable Microsoft Translator (it will turn green if it has been enabled)
  5. Tap Done

How To Translate Webpages In Safari

  1. Open Safari
  2. Go to the website that you want to translate
  3. Tap the Share button at the bottom middle of the screen
  4. Tap the Translator icon
  5. Give it a few seconds and your website should be translated

If you want to translate the website back to its original language, you will have to reload it. As always, the translation process might not always be 100% accurate, but it should still be enough to give you a gist of what it means.
