Adobe Lightroom Is Now Available From The Mac App Store

Adobe Lightroom, the photo-editing tool meant for professionals, is now available from the Mac App Store. This now happens to be the first Adobe app that’s available from the revamped version of the app platform. Photoshop Elements has already been available but it’s a lightweight compared to Lightroom. This is now the only pro-focused app that’s available through the Mac App Store.

Lightroom is also different from Photoshop Elements in the way that it customers to pay for the service. It doesn’t have a $70 upfront charge, rather, it opts for a subscription-based model. Users have to pay $10 per month for access to Lightroom.

Apple had promised that Lightroom will be one of the apps that will be available through the platform when the redesigned Mac App Store was introduced. Some of the other big-name apps that made their way to the platform include Microsoft’s Office suite as well as the Live Studio from Snap, Inc.

Interested users will be able to try out Adobe Lightroom free for seven days after that they will have to pay $10 per month for continued access. Much like Office 365, they will be able to pay for the subscription through Apple’s services. Customers will be charged through their iTunes account after their seven-day trial is up.
