Gmail’s Smart Compose Now Available On All Android Devices

For the longest time ever, Smart Compose is a feature that can be found on Gmail on the desktop. For those unfamiliar, basically Smart Compose will help users complete sentences that they type in their email where Google will be able to make suggestions on how your sentence should be completed.

It later eventually found its way onto mobile where for a while, it was exclusive to Google’s Pixel smartphones. The good news is that if you’re not a Pixel owner, it seems that Smart Compose is now making its way onto non-Pixel handsets. This is according to a report from Android Police who discovered that the feature (previously exclusive to the Pixel 3 and 3 XL) is now available on other devices like the Pixel 2 XL and the OnePlus 6T.

According to Android Police, the feature should be auto-enabled which means that you’ll need to have the latest version of Gmail and you should be good to go. Users will be greeted by a popup message that explains the feature to users when the app is launched. If you don’t see the feature, then it might not have found its way to your device yet.

Alternatively you could always launch the settings in the Gmail app to see if the feature is available and if it might have been disabled.
