Final Fantasy 7 Remake Hopes To Surpass The Original

While each Final Fantasy release is popular and beloved in its own right, it’s hard to deny in the entire franchise, Final Fantasy 7 has managed to stand out on its own where its characters are some of the more identifiable characters from the series. So much so that it made sense that Square Enix would want to Remake it.

However remaking it would definitely be a tall order given how many gamers loved the original, but the company is definitely that the remake will surpass it. According to a recent job listing (via Gematsu), it mentions that the goal they have for the remake is that it could be even good enough to surpass the original.

The job listing reads, “Our goal is ‘the realization of game with quality that surpasses the original.’ For that reason, we are continuing the recruitment of internal development staff.” That being said there is a good chance that they might succeed because as the job listing points out, the staff from the original have returned and reunited after 20 years to work on it.

This means that all the experiences that they have accumulated over time should no doubt be beneficial towards the game’s development. Unfortunately there’s still no word on when Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be released, so we guess we’ll just have to remain patient.
