ESPN Plus Streaming Service Announced, Will Cost $4.99 A Month

When it comes to video Streaming on platforms like Netflix or Hulu, for the most part the shows streamed are typically movies, TV shows, drama, documentaries, cartoons, and so on. However if you’re a bit of a sports fanatic and would love to see sports streams, then Espn Plus could be a service worth checking out.

This new streaming service was announced by Disney’s CEO Bob Iger where it will cost customers $4.99 a month and is expected to debut alongside a redesigned ESPN app. However if you think that for $4.99 you’ll get to stream all the popular games that you might sometimes expect from pay-per-view, think again because those will continue to require users to subscribe to particular channels that stream such content.

Instead ESPN Plus is expected to offer what Iger is calling a “greatly expanded array of programs”, along with certain live sporting events that you might not typically expect to see on TV. The streaming service will also offer up documentaries about people and events in sports, while the Redesigned App will feature scores, highlights, news, and more.

As to when the service and redesigned app will launch, Iger declined to provide any specific dates so we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled.
