Battlefield 1 To Release One Of Its Premium Maps For Free This Week

The thing about games these days is that developers and publishers love to create DLCs for them, in which they then charge gamers extra to gain access to new content for the game. Of course not all gamers see the need to pay for DLCs, and for some they end up passing on such content.

The good news is that if you refused to play for one of Battlefield 1’s DLCs, you’ll be pleased to learn that DICE will be releasing one of the DLC’s Premium Maps for free this week. The map in question is Prise de Tahure which was previously only available to those who bought the Premium Pass or the They Shall Not Pass expansion.

This will be released on the PC, PS4, and the Xbox One starting on the 16th of January and will be free for everyone. If this map gave you a taste for the expansion, DICE will also be holding a one day event on the 22nd of January where gamers can access a sample of the They Shall Not Pass and In the Name of the Tsar expansions. This will be part of the Turning Tides DLC’s Gallipoli Trial.

That being said, 2018 is expected to see EA announce a new Battlefield game. It was initially thought that the game would be Bad Company 3, but apparently that is not the case.
