iMac Pro Goes On Sale, Shipments Arrive December 27th

Many power users who swear by the Imac have been waiting to get their hands on the new Imac Pro. The company had promised to release the powerful new iMac before the end of this year and it’s going to follow through on the promise. Apple has now started selling the iMac Pro online and shipments are slated to arrive by December 27th.

The iMac Pro is a professional-grade desktop that’s powered by 8 Intel Xeon processing cores coupled with 32GB of RAM. That’s what the $4,999 entry-level model gets you.

The first orders placed through Apple’s online store starting today will arrive just after Christmas. At this point in time, the orders are estimated to arrive by December 27th.

Apple hasn’t made the iMac Pro available for pickup just yet so customers who are interested in purchasing one will have to place an order online. Apple will deliver the computer to them for free by December 27th. It’s unclear if the company’s stores will be stocking the iMac Pro anytime soon.

It also features a Vega 56 graphics processor with 8GB VRAM and 1TB of flash storage. Configurations that are also going to ship before the end of this year include the 10 core 3.0GHz model with up to 4TB of storage, 128GB of RAM, and a Vega 64 graphics processor with 8GB of VRAM.

The iMac Pro features a 5K display with a 5120×2880 pixel resolution and 500 nits of brightness. It has four Thunderbolt 3 ports, a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, a SD card slot, three USB 3.0 ports, and a standard headphone jack.
