Google has added a new feature to the Gmail app on Android. The app now allows users to send and request money on the go with the popular email app. Whether users have to split a dinner bill or have to figure out the finances for a group trip, they now have a fee-free way to settle up with friends without having to leave the Gmail app.
This functionality is already available to Gmail Users on the web and Google is now expanding it to the Android app. Users can exchange money with anyone using this service, not just those who have Gmail addresses.
It’s very easy to send money in Gmail. The process is the same as sending an attachment. Tap on the attachment icon and choose whether you want to send money or request it from someone.
They can do that from within the email itself, there’s no need to install a separate payment app. It’s also possible for the money to be sent directly to the recipient’s bank account. Best of all, it’s completely free for both the sender and the recipient.
