Three New Transformers Movies Confirmed

Another popular Movie franchise is being extended for three years but it’s not the Fast and Furious franchise. Actually, this one is concerned with alien robots that fight their battles on our planet. I’m sure most of you will be familiar with Optimus Prime. Well, you’ll be seeing a lot of him in the next three years, because the studio has confirmed that it’s going to make three new Transformers movies.

Paramount Pictures confirmed earlier this week that a new Transformers movie will be released every year for the next three years starting in 2017.

This might come as a welcome announcement for some fans who didn’t quite like the previous “Age of Extinction” flick, despite that, the franchise has such a massive following that it still raked in over $1 billion globally.

The formal titles for the new movies haven’t been decided yet, for easy reference they’re called Transformers 5, Transformers 6 and Transformers 7 right now. The Paramount Pictures has also confirmed release dates for these movies.

It plans to release Transformers 5 in theaters on June 23rd, 2017. Transformers 6 on June 8th, 2018 and Transformers 7 on June 28th, 2019. Michael Bay, the accomplished director who directed previous films in this franchise, is onboard to direct Transformers 5 but that will be the last movie he directs in this franchise.
