Galaxy S8 Red Tint Update Released By T-Mobile

You might have heard about the Red Tint issue that many Galaxy S8 owners have been facing. It’s not a major issue, certainly not one related to hardware, it’s easily fixable through a software update. Samsung released a software update last week to address the Galaxy S8 red tint issue and this update is gradually being released in more regions. T-Mobile has now released the Galaxy S8 red tint update in the United States.

Samsung first rolled out this software update in South Korea last week. The update brings two new options to tweak the color of the display. Samsung says that this is going to fix the issue but if users still remain dissatisfied, it’s even offering them free replacements.

Clearly, the company doesn’t want this minor issue to snowball in the media. The wounds from the Galaxy Note 7 are still fresh so it would obviously want to protect its latest flagship smartphone from any unfair negative press.

Multiple T-Mobile users have since confirmed that Magenta has released a new software update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on its network which brings the fix for the red tint issue.

Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners should see build number G950USQU1AQDE and G955USQU1AQDE land on their devices respectively in the very near future.
