While originally playing host to a bunch of TV shows and movies created by others, in recent years Netflix has started to expand their efforts by making movies and TV shows themselves. In fact it seems that the company appears to have plans to maybe one day transition into a Movie studio of their own, and their latest hire seems to hint at that.
According to a report from Deadline, Netflix seems to have hired Scott Stuber. For those unfamiliar with Stuber’s name, he was the producer behind movies such as Kill the Messenger, Ted, Ted 2, and Patriot’s Day, just to name a few. It is said that this hire was made in hopes that it would be able to Attract Bigger Names to come and star in Netflix’s own movies.
So far we’re starting to see that happen, what with Brad Pitt expected to star in the upcoming Netflix movie War Machine, and Bright which has names such as Will Smith and Joel Edgerton attached to them.
