As you might have heard, there are some gamers who are reporting that there are issues with the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con controllers. Nintendo themselves have recently come forward to acknowledge those claims and have come up with some suggestions on how to minimize those issues.
Some were hoping that maybe a software update could fix those issues, but it turns out that maybe it might not be a software problem after all. In the video above uploaded by YouTuber Spawn Wave, he has taken apart the Joy-Con controllers and in the process, he might have revealed that the Antenna design of the controllers could be the problem.
The issues with the Joy-Cons seem to mostly be related to the left controller, and it turns out that the antenna design in both sides are different. The right controller has the antenna built into the cable, but the left controller’s antenna is built into the circuit board itself. It has been speculated that the inability to move the antenna away from the metal plate could be the reason behind its connection problems.
