Apple Store App Now Lets You Purchase Apple Watch Accessories

Ever felt like getting a new accessory for your Apple Watch on a whim or while on the go? If you did, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Apple Store App has been updated and will now allow users to purchase Apple Watch-related accessories from the app itself via favorited items from your account.

In case you didn’t know, you can favorite items on Apple’s website or the Apple Store app. Basically this acts like a wishlist of sorts where you can mark items that you want to get at a future date. With this new feature, customers will now be able to add Apple Watch accessories to that list, although for now the ability to purchase favorited items is limited to accessories.

This means that if you have favorited bigger ticket items like a Mac computer or an iPhone, you won’t be able to make those purchases just yet. We’re not sure why Apple has made those limitations, but presumably this is to prevent any accidental purchases that would have set you back a lot of money.

Payments can be made using Apple Pay via the Apple Watch which is authenticated as long as the watch remains on the wrist of the user and there is skin contact.
