A trademark filing discovered by a Dutch site Galaxy Club points towards Samsung introducing a Beast Mode in the Galaxy S8.
The ‘Beast Mode’ is probably a feature to increase the performance of the phone regardless of the power consumption. This is supposed to give users the performance they need, and to push the chip set to its limits. We expect the device to be offered in 2 variants, an Exynos and a Snapdragon version.
The current flagships, the S7/S7 edge duo have a performance mode known as gaming mode. The new Beast Mode could be just a new name for the same mode. The feature is accessible in the Nougat preview for the duet.
The Galaxy S8 is set to be a major refreshment to the Galaxy flagship. Also, we are looking at this device to bury the Galaxy Note 7 woes which naturally means high expectations. There are some major changes to be expecteed, like ditching the physical home button. This has been a trademark feature of the Galaxy series.
