One of the most successful methods for GTD (Getting Things Done) is the Pomodoro Technique. This involves working on tasks in 30 minute blocks: 25 minutes work and five minute breaks. The idea is it helps you focus by separating your work and rest time.
There’s a fair few of these apps on the App Store – so how do you choose? Well, one way, is basing it on price – and FocusList, which previously cost $2.99, is now available for free.
The app helps you to write out your tasks for the day, and then monitor your productivity using timers based around the Pomodoro technique. It also provides stats on your long-term progress. This means you can see how long you spend on each task and the best time of day to get things done.
So, if you want to be more productive with your day-to-day tasks, why not give it a shot. It’s available on the App Store right now and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It also offers Apple Watch support.
