Arena of Valor is the best MOBA we’ve played all year, hands down. No contest! How and why you ask? Let me explain
Experience:
This game has the best game experience among all the MOBA games. The graphics are seamless and slick on my iPhone X. I was afraid the game might not be optimized well for iPhones in India (a lot of games are not!!!) but this one really showed how much the A11 Bionic chip is capable of. There is no lag and everything loads amazingly fast, pretty cool for a MOBA!
Controls:
Controls are solid with even triple kill so easily accessible. I was thinking continued use might lead to cramps but thankfully all the important features are easy to find and use. NO RSI so far, hope it stays that way! Real time chat is a nifty feature which I use with my AirPods on, hands free conversations, planning AND kills!
Gameplay and Characters:
How cool are the characters in this game? For the first time ever I’m discovering DC characters in a game like this! The three lane arena seemed familiar enough, but the take away for me were passing through the myriad lanes & towers and unexpected attacks through the bushes. Still reeling from a sneak attack from last weekend!
Emergence of eSports in India:
I think this game will be very important for India as a I see so many of my friends playing WoW switch to this. On a serious note, I am very excited to be part of the new eSports revolution in India. Want to see my friends win games at international levels!
Last but not least - Mobile!
For someone used to playing MMORPGs on massive rigs or newest alienware laptops, I was definitely skeptical of the mobile experience. But the mobile experience blew me away. The excitement of the game play never goes away and in fact enhanced in a few places. Moreover, I can play this game from anywhere, anytime. A lot of times I play this when I’m commuting to work (sometimes even between meetings: P)
Arena of Valor is the first game I actually spent my money on. I sincerely want to see where this game goes next. Want to see new updates and game-play. Huge shoutout to the game makers of Arena of Valor! This is truly becoming my favourite game.
