Apple showcased it’s new impressive iPhone X back in September, a one-of-a-kind smartphone launched to celebrate the 10th anniversary of iPhone. With high-tech features, classy design and improved hardware, iPhone X was predicted to be the most fashionable, desirable and coveted gadget of the year.
Amazingly, Samsung launched its Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone phone in the same month, with a promising design, slim body, cutting edge screen and a bigger, better battery.
Then in October, Google launched its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphone with Android Oreo 8.0 as default. The phone went popular among the latest operating system fanatics.

Both, the Apple iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a Super AMOLED Display. However, Google Pixel 2 XL wins the heart here featuring a P-OLED 6.0 inches capacitive touchscreen, with a resolution of 1,440 x 2880px, along with 538ppi. However, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a better advantage over both phones with a slightly larger screen (6.3 inches).

Samsung has enjoyed a big lead over Apple and Google in the LCD Screen Display format since years. But it seems that Apple finally filled the gap this year, by giving the Apple iPhone X a better contrast and minimizing brightness problems when held from different angles. Google Pixel 2 XL followed closely, featuring a QHD + P-OLED Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. This was an intelligent choice by Google, but not that striking.
Battery timings are a great concern of many smart phone users. This is where Apple has lacked since years, and even this year. Apple iPhone X has an endurance rating of 75hrs, a far less than its rivals, 88hrs for Google Pixel 2 XL and 89hrs for Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Endurance rate is calculated by mixing the usage time, music time, data time and standby time altogether. All three smartphones have a non-removable battery. But that is the norm now. Isn’t it?
Apple iPhone X is the most expensive phone of all ($999), obviously! However, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is just $50 cheaper ($950) than its rival and then comes the Google’s flagship worth $850. At present, Apple iPhone X unlocked is only available for pre-order and can only be bought with a carrier (AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile), whereas, Galaxy Note 8 and Google Pixel 2 XL can be bought unlocked.
