How to prepare for Scrum daily stand-up meeting

How to Prepare for Scrum Daily standup

a) if you’re Scrum-master - instead of “stand-up in 5 mins” we in #flatstack recommend asking something like “For the standup please 1) post tasks u have been working yesterday (+hours spent on each approximately) 2) planned tasks for today 3) blockers / Qs”

b) if you’re a team member, make sure you created stories that you’ve worked on the day before (in case there weren’t there) & know how many hours you spent on certain task the day before. Think of the plan for today, and what are the blockers (also recommend using label “blocked” for such stories).

That’s it! Once this information is there in group-chat before the stand-up, then the actual Meeting can be help standing! And you have some time for fun stuff during the meeting. And shorter meeting also means you get more time for actual work!

Note: This information, if it’s in group-chat also can be quickly accessed both by clients and for internal statistics and daily reports to clients. Transparency is one of the core @Flatstack values!
