Is your iPhone 6s Plus battery dead? Do you have to charge your iPhone more frequently? It's a relatively common problem, particularly since iPhone batteries are only intended to last two years. The good news is you can replace your own iPhone 6s Plus battery with the following step-by-step guide.

What you need:

• Pry tool or guitar picks
• Spudger
• Suction cup
• P2 Pentalobe screwdriver
• Small Phillips screwdriver
• Replacement iPhone 6s Plus battery

STEP 1: Remove the two screws adjacent to the charging port.

STEP 2: Place the suction cup on the bottom of the front display, then insert the pry tool into the bottom seam just above the headphone jack. Slide the pry tool across the bottom, then up the side seams to separate the adhesive. Be careful to avoid hitting the home button cables.

STEP 3: Simultaneously lift the suction cup while you pry up the bottom seam until you can lift the display assembly so it hinges 90 degrees at the top.

STEP 4: Remove the two battery connector bracket screws, then the bracket.

STEP 5: Use the spudger to disconnect the battery connector from the logic board.

STEP 6: Insert the spudger under the bottom edge of the battery and pry up. Keep working on the bottom and the left side of the battery until you can pry it away from the underlying adhesive and remove it completely.

STEP 7: Insert the new battery, then follow these steps in reverse order to reassemble your iPhone 6s Plus.
