Xiaomi is currently working on bringing a successor to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The successor will be named Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and will carry a few upgrades here and there. As the Mi Mix line-up from Xiaomi is all about the display, the Mix 2S will also come with a nearly bezel-less display. Speculations are that the company might unveil the smartphone at MWC 2018 in Barcelona.
What to expect?
One of the major changes in the upcoming Mix 2 successor will be its processor. According to a few reports, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. Recently, the smartphone was spotted on AnTuTu which says the phone uses a Snapdragon 845 chip. My Drivers spotted a benchmarking list which shows the device name ‘Polaris’ which scores 2,70,461. The device codenamed Polaris is believed to be the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.

If the smartphone is ready to arrive at the MWC, this could be the first smartphone to feature a Snapdragon 845 chipset. However, even if it is not the first in the world, it could be the first smartphone by Xiaomi to do so. Earlier reports claimed that Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be the first ones to come with Snapdragon 845. So, it will be interesting to see that who finally wins the race.
As per the leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is expected to come with an iPhone X like notch up front. The smartphone is also expected to come with Face Recognition features. The smartphone is expected to launch with a price tag of CNY 4,000 (roughly Rs. 40,600.
