Here’s What You Can See at CES 2016

One of the biggest tech shows of the year officially kicks off today in Las Vegas and we are definitely excited to see all the new gadgets and gizmos that CES 2016 will bring. Each year, however, the events and keynotes start a day earlier, so it’s no surprise that some companies have already revealed their new products.

Samsung introduced its Samsung Family Hub refrigerator and the latest TV with a curved screen, LG a smart vacuum cleaner, SanDisk a water-resistant portable SSD, and so on. Of course, there are new wearables in town, too, including variations of the Gear S2 Classic smartwatch, the fashionable Mira Fitness tracker, and the Withings Go clip-on fitness button. We’ll make a roundup of the coolest tech from CES once it’s over, but what we really want to talk about today is what HTC, LG, Huawei, and Samsung have in store for us.

LG to Reveal a New Smartphone and More About the Watch Urbane 2

Chances of the upcoming LG G5 and the successor to the G Flex 3 launching at CES are slim to none, but we will certainly learn more about them and a new device the company’s rumoured to be working on. According to @evleaks, this smartphone will have a curved screen that “wraps over the top of the device”. We might also find out more about the Watch Urbane 2, which we’ve heard the company might not launch due to hardware issues that affected the watch’s performance.

A Sneak Peek at the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

Like we mentioned above, the popular Korean company has already unveiled some of its new products, but what everyone wants to know is this: when will we get to see the Galaxy S7? Well, not at CES, we’re afraid. Samsung’s flagship devices will probably make an appearance during MWC 2016 in February, but we could see the Galaxy A9 during the show, which launched in China in December. Fret not, for we have no doubt we will find out more about the S7 models at CES.

What Samsung will also talk about is its new smartwatch strap which turns your finger into a speaker – TipTalk – and a wearable fitness belt, Welt, which tracks your steps and acts as your good, old fitness tracker.

It’s All About Virtual Reality with HTC

This year’s CES will be all about drones, smart gadgets, and VR headsets, and HTC is well aware of that. The company’s coming to the show to demo the second-generation Vive and a controller for it, and there are rumours it will reveal a new fitness band, too. However, if you wish to see a new smartphone by the Taiwanese manufacturer, the HTC One M10, you will have to wait until MWC.

Huawei Shows Off the Mate 8, a New Tablet, and a Pair of Smartwatches

It’s been a busy day for Huawei at CES – the Chinese company not only talked more about the Mate 8, but also unveiled the Mate GX8, which is a version of this phone for the US market, a 10.1-inch Android tablet called the MediaPad M2, two versions of its Huawei Watch aimed at a more feminine market (called the Jewel and the Elegant respectively), and a fresh paint job for the Nexus 6P (gold). If you were interested whether the Mate 8 will come to your country or not, you can take a look at the photo below.
