Thanks to the built-in ambient light sensor, iOS automatically adjusts the brightness of your Iphone depending on the light conditions. For example, when you are in a dark environment, it will dim the display, and when there is light, it will raise the brightness.
When auto-brightness works perfectly, it not only enhances your viewing experience but also cuts down unnecessary battery consumption. However, it doesn’t always deliver the desired result. If this is the case on your iPhone, you may want to disable auto-brightness on your iOS device. Let me walk you through the quick steps!
How to Turn OFF or ON Auto-Brightness on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iOS device → Tap on General.
Step #2. Now, tap on Accessibility.
Step #3. Next, tap on Display Accommodations.
Step #4. Finally, turn off the switch next to Auto-Brightness.
That’s it! From now onwards, iOS won’t adjust the brightness of your device automatically.
Later, if you ever decide to go back and take advantage of this user-friendly feature, return to the same setting and turn it on.
Most of the time, this Accessibility feature works reliably on my iPhone. But there are times when it does seem to go out of track.
What’s your take on it and what are the new features that are ruling the roost on your iOS 13 features wishlist. Share your thoughts down below.
