The Mail app for Mac has several user-friendly features including “Junk mail filter.” When enabled, it filters out the unwanted messages. However, it's not always perfect and at times wrongly marks even the regular emails as Junk. The easiest way to avoid this problem is to disable the Junk filter in Mail on your Mac.
Once you have turned off the Junk filter, the spam emails won't be marked. Besides, your mailbox might soon get cluttered, and you will have to clean it up more frequently to keep it organized. How to Turn Off Junk Filter in Mail on Mac
Step #1. Launch Mail app on your Mac.
Step #2. Now, you need to select the “Mail” menu.
Step #3. Next, click on “Preferences.”
Step #4. Next, you have to click “Junk Mail” tab in Preferences.
Step #5. Up next, you need to uncheck the box for “Enable junk mail filtering.” Then, quit Preferences.
Now, you can go to the Junk inbox and move or remove emails from the junk folder as per your need.
Going forward, your junk mail inbox will be empty, and emails won't arrive in it anymore.
How to Enable Junk Filter in Mail on Mac
If you ever wish to get back the Junk Filter, simply follow the above-mentioned steps and enable it. Mail app → Mail menu → Preferences → Junk Mail tab and then check the box for Enable junk mail filtering.
