Removing the suspense, Auto-Brightness has now become the part of Accessibility suit. Despite being such an effective feature, it isn't able to perform up to the mark all the time or regulate the screen correctly as per ambiance. Therefore, you may want to have more control over it.
How to Turn Off Auto-Brightness in iOS 11 on iPhone and iPad
Many a time, I found Auto-Brightness not living up to the task with the desired effect. For instance, whenever it detects bright lights, it increases brightness but fails to lower it when there is darkness. In such case, you may want to disable it.
Step #1. Open Settings app → Tap on General.
Step #2. Tap on Accessibility.
Step #3. Tap on Display Accommodation.
Step #4. Now, turn off the switch next to Auto-Brightness.

Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iOS device → Next, tap on General.
Step #2. Now, you need to tap on Accessibility.
Step #3. Next up, tap on Display Accommodations.
