How to Save Battery Life While Playing Super Mario Run on iPhone or iPad

Just like Pokemon Go, “Super Mario Run” has struck a positive code with game lovers. The endless runner game is available for free at App Store. There is also an option to unlock all the exciting game play modes and level with $9.99 In-App Purchase.

I’m really having plenty of fun while playing Super Mario Run on my iPhone. To ensure my smartphone doesn’t drain the Battery fast, I set both Rendering and Graphics settings to low.

Here is how you can stop this runner game from eating into a lot of battery on your device! Let’s Find out!

How to Save iPhone Battery While Playing Super Mario Run

Step #1. Launch Super Mario Run on your iOS device.

Step #2. Tap to begin.

Step #3. Next, you need to tap the Menu button at the bottom left corner.

Step #4. Tap on the Settings icon.

Step #5. Tap on Options.

Step #6. Now, you need to set both Rendering and Graphics Settings to low. By default, they are set to High. Simply tap on the button next to each option.

Step #7. Next, tap on “X” at the bottom left corner to go back to the options menu.

Step #8. Finally, tap on X button at the bottom left corner to return to the game.

That’s it! The display smoothness, as well as detail on the screen, will be reduced in order to prevent the fast battery consumption.

Enable Low Power Mode

When you enable “Low Power Mode“, it automatically turns off background app refresh, visual effects to save battery. It can help you prevent the fast battery consumption.

Hence, it would be better to keep Low Power Mode enabled while playing this endless runner game. (To improve the battery life on iOS 10, jump over to this post. To ensure your iPhone 7 and 7 Plus doesn’t eat battery too fast, check out this post.)

Though this game doesn’t reduce graphics or rendering quality when power saving mode is enabled on your device, you are better off with the power saving enabled on your iPhone.
