How to use Shake to Undo in iOS 10 on iPhone and iPad
You can use “Shake to Undo” with any stock apps that allow you to type in. It’s enabled by default. In this test, I’m going to use it in Messages app.
Note: It works with some third party apps as well like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.
Step #1. Launch Messages App on your iPhone and type anything.
Step #2. Now, you have to shake your smartphone.
Step #3. A popup will appear on the screen. Tap Undo to confirm.
If you want to remove more text, shake your device again and then undo it. Remember, it will undo only the immediate last action.

What if you have mistakenly removed any text using Shake to Undo feature? You can easily bring back the last removed text with “Shake to Redo” feature.
Step #1. Launch Messages app on your iPhone and type anything.
Step #2. Shake your device.
Step #3. A popup will appear, tap Undo to confirm.
Step #4. Now, shake your iPhone again.
Step #5. A popup will appear again, tap on Redo.
The last removed text will appear.
How to Turn off “Shake to Undo” on iPhone/iPad
No longer want to shake your iPhone to undo text? You can disable it.
Step #1. Launch Settings app on your iPhone → Tap on General.
Step #2. Tap on Accessibility.
Step #3. Tap on Shake to Undo.
Step #4. Toggle the switch to turn it off.
