Disney Plus is not available on Comcast as of now but is expected to be in the first quarter of this year. Recently, Disney Company announced that they reached an agreement with Comcast, giving Comcast the rights to distribute Disney Plus on its Xfinity X1 and Flex platforms.
With this development, “customers will soon have the ability to easily find and watch the complete range of Disney shows and sports” says Rebecca Heap, the Senior Vice President, Video and Entertainment, Comcast Cable.
Is Disney Plus Available On Comcast?
NO. Disney Plus is not available on Comcast as of now but is expected to be in the first quarter of this year. We are already halfway into the first quarter of the year and there has been no news. Expectations are running high as many doubt if this will be possible. This is because HBO Max was announced to be coming to the platform way back in May 2020 but still hasn’t gotten to Xfinity.
How Can I Get Disney Shows Via Xfinity TV?
It is possible to watch Disney movies and TV shows with a suitable Xfinity TV but, the selection is limited. Disney Plus hosts a large number of exclusive titles which are not available on TV channels like National Geographic, Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney XD.
Right now, as an Xfinity user, the only way to interact with Disney Plus is to do so outside of your Comcast equipment.
Ways You Can Watch Disney Plus As an Xfinity User
First, sign up for Disney Plus. A monthly subscription costs $6.99 while a yearly subscription costs $69.99. Then, you can work around it using your Smart TV, smartphone, Fire TV stick, or Roku.

How to Watch Disney Plus Using Your Smart TV
For your Smart TV, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, then access your TV’s app store to download the Disney Plus app to your TV. Install it, log in to your account. This general method works for most smart TVs. You can bypass your Comcast equipment and stream movies and TV shows on Disney Plus without any limitation.
How to Watch Disney Plus Using Your Smartphone
You can also use your smartphone. All you need to do is, go to your device’s App store to download the Disney Plus app. The app is available on both Apple and Android devices.

How to Watch Disney Plus Using Roku
Another way to work around using Disney Plus as an Xfinity user is to use Roku. You can use either Roku Express HD or Roku Ultra. All you have to do is connect your Roku device to your TV and install Disney Plus on your Roku device. To do the latter, press the Home button on your Roku device, select Streaming Channels, Scroll down to Search Channels, and click on it.
Next, search for Disney Plus with the virtual keyboard that appears on your screen. Once it comes up, install it and click the Add Channel button.
Your Roku device will download and install the app. Go to the Home screen where you will find the downloaded Disney app and log in with your account details. You can thus watch whatever you want here forth.

How to Watch Disney Plus Using a Fire TV Stick 4K
A media streaming device like the Amazon Fire TV will work. Just connect the Fire TV stick to your TV. Next, go to your Fire TV device and from its Home screen, go to the main menu which is at the top of the screen. Use the search option to search for Disney Plus. Once you select the Disney Plus app, download it by clicking the orange button Get Label.
Once it is downloaded, go to the Home screen, open the app, and log in using your account details. You can now select any movie or show you would like to watch. The first quarter of the year is not over. Hence, we still look forward to Comcast bringing Disney Plus on board.
