Sony RX100 VII Compact Camera

In addition to a7R IV full-frame mirrorless Camera, Sony has also unveiled RX100 VII, its latest premium compact camera. Want to know about the camera? Let’s continue checking.

Sony RX100 VII is a high-performance, pocket-sized digital camera that measures 4 x 2.29 x 1.69 inches and weighs 10.65 oz. As shown in the images, the camera delivers a same appearance design with Sony RX100 VI, and the almost same size and weight still makes it an ideal camera for any travel.

Sony RX100 VII comes equipped with an updated 20.1MP 1″ Exmor RS CMOS sensor paired with the latest generation BIONZ X image processor in order to deliver high-quality imaging with a native sensitivity range from ISO 100-12800 and up to 20fps continuous shooting. It’s also capable of recording 4K video at 24/30 fps.

The new Single Burst mode allows it to capture up to 7 shots at up to 30/60/90fps in RAW or JPG for the fastest moments, and its Anti-Distortion Shutter allows it to capture the fast-moving subjects in RAW or JPEG formats.

Sony RX100 VII features a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-200mm1 F2.8-4.5 zoom lens that fits in a wide range of situations. Furthermore, its hybrid AF system consists of a total of 357 focal-plane phase-detection AF points covering approx 68% of the image area, and 425 contrast-detection AF points with high-density AF tracking technology, so it’s powerful enough to quickly and accurately track moving subjects.

Moreover, by bombinating optical and electronic stabilization methods, the camera minimizes the appearance of camera shake in order to produce smooth images even for shooting while walking.

Sony RX100 VII has a 3.0″ tilting LCD monitor that features touchscreen function for intuitive menu navigation, Touch Focus, Touch Pad AF and Touch Shutter functions, and it can tilt from 180 degrees upward to 90 degrees downward, which brings you more creativities.

A pop-up XGA OLED electronic viewfinder allows for eye-level shooting. Apart from these, using built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, the compact camera wirelessly connects with your smartphone or tablet, so you can easily transmit images to the connected device or remotely control the camera.

Sony RX100 VII is priced at $1,198 USD. If you’re interested, jump to the product page for its more details.
