Xiaomi is reportedly working on launching a new smartphone under its Xiaomi Mi 8 lineup. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition has recently made it to the TENAA certification, thereby revealing some of its specifications and features.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition: TENAA Certification
As seen in the image, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth sports a glass rear. There is a Dual Camera Setup at the back. The cameras are horizontally aligned with the LED flash sitting on the right side.
As per the TENAA listing, the device will sport a 6.2-inch display giving out a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display type used this time is LCD and not AMOLED and this is pretty much understood considering the fact that the Mi 8 Youth Edition is going to be a cost-effective device.
Under the hood, we are going to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/`18GB of internal storage which can further be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
Coming to the cameras of the device, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition sports a dual camera setup (12MP + an unknown secondary unit) and a 24MP selfie snapper.
The device measures 156.4 x 75.8 x 7.5 mm and weighs in at 169 grams.
As per the previous reports, there are going to be two variants which will be added to the roster – the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition and the Xiaomi Mi 8 Fingerprint Edition.
What’s important to see will be whether or not the company will aim to launch the devices globally. We are yet to see a global launch of the already existing devices in the lineup.
