Asus launched the Asus Zenfone 5Z a little while ago in the Indian market. The device was initially launched in two memory variants – 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB with the price starting from INR 29,000 or around $440.
Now, the company has unveiled another variant of the Asus Zenfone 5Z which features a massive 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. To take things even further, the internal memory can be expanded with the help of an external SD card.
The new variant has got a price tag of INR 36,999 which roughly translates to around $540. It will go on sale starting from July 30 and will be sold exclusively via Flipkart.
Coming to the specifications of the device, the Asus Zenfone 5Z sports a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ display giving out a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Powering the device is the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Moving on to the camera of the device, we get a dual camera setup at the back (12MP, Sony IMX363 sensor, 4-axis OIS, 3-axis EIS, f/1.8 aperture + 8MP, f/2.2 aperture, OV8856 sensor, 120-degree wide-angle lens) and an 8MP selfie snapper. Even though there is a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device, one can unlock the Zenfone 5Z using the facial unlock mechanism as well.
A 3,300 mAh battery fuels the device which supports ASUS BoostMaster fast charging as well as AI charging. There is a USB Type-C charging port at the bottom which is kind of expected considering that the Zenfone 5Z is company’s current flagship.
