Nubia recently unveiled the Nubia Red Magic which is a gaming-centric Android smartphone. The device just got added to the list of gaming smartphones like the Razer phone and the Black Shark recently launched by Xiaomi.
The only downside when it comes to the Red Magic is the fact that it is making use of a much older Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Other than that, there is no flaw whatsoever in the phone and gaming lovers are sure to fall in love with this piece of tech.
Nubia Red Magic phone: Full specifications
As mentioned earlier, the Red Magic is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is, however, a 6GB/64GB variant available as well.
At the display front, the phone features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with an edge-to-edge 2.5D NEG T2X-1 screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 1500:1 contrast ratio.
The phone boasts of an amazing build quality and is wrapped around with aluminum which is ideal for gaming phones. On the inside, the Red Magic features an all-new air convection cooling system which, as claimed by the company, is being used for the first time in a smartphone. The cooling system would dissipate heat alongside the edges of the phone to ensure an optimum performance.
What makes the Red Magic stand out is the RGB LED strip at the back which is a delight. Though not for everyone, gaming lovers are going to be proud of the fact that their device has this feature.

Moving to the battery, the device has a 3,800 mAh battery capable of quick charge. The battery would provide for up to 7 hours of gameplay on a single charge as claimed by Nubia.
The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which is customized to take the gaming experience to a new level. There is a dedicated hardware gaming button on the top right of the device which would dedicate all the resources to the game so that there are no stutters or frame drops.
There is a single camera at the back along with an LED flash on top of it. The fingerprint scanner is rear mounted and follows the diamond-cut design language of the Red Magic.
The device goes on sale starting from April 23 and would carry a price tag of $399 (to be sold exclusively via Indiegogo).
