iCloud Drive
The iCloud Drive file-syncing and storage service is a must-have for anyone with an iPhone and a Mac. It allows you to integrate your cloud computing software into your ecosystems deeply, and though it’s perhaps not as accessible as Microsoft and Google’s alternatives, it’s worth considering. It offers a well-designed app and web interface and is compatible with Windows as well as macOS and iOS; plus it offers 5G of free cloud storage. There are some caveats, though: it’s not quite as user-friendly as some other services, and it doesn’t offer a search feature on its web interface. One of the biggest benefits is that Dropbox occupies one location on your desktop – and everything can be synced with other devices. Most agree that the software is slick and smooth throughout and it’s packed with file-sharing features that make life that little bit easier, plus it offers advanced selective sync options that seamlessly allow you to collaborate and work from any device. However, it doesn’t offer full device backups, and it’s certainly not the cheapest option on the market, with limited free storage.
