Apple TV app is officially coming to games consoles like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

Apple has confirmed that the Apple TV app will come to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the same day as the next-generation gaming console is released.

As announced by Sony on the official Playstation blog, Apple TV will allow consumers to stream their favorite shows.

The new app will be available on the new gaming console as well as its predecessor, the PlayStation 4, allowing access to Apple TV+ content, as well as the iTunes Store, where users can watch movies and television shows they’ve purchased.

Apple TV Channels will also be offered, so consumers can subscribe to particular networks and channels.

Although it was PlayStation that made the announcement of an official Apple TV app first, it has already been revealed that Apple is working on an app for Xbox, which should launch at around the same time.

Apple has already added Apple TV to streaming sticks, smart TVs, and Apple devices to increase the audience of its Apple TV+ streaming service, which has yet to generate serious interest from critics or consumers, despite its low $4.99 monthly fee.
