iQOO Neo 7 is coming with MediaTek Dimensity 9000+

The Iqoo Neo 6 launched in April this year in the Chinese market and featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC. In the global market, however, iQOO Neo 6 was launched as a rebranded iQOO Neo 6 SE (China). Since iQOO follows the half-yearly launch timeline, it is safe to say that we are soon getting the successor to the iQOO Neo 6, at least in the Chinese market. Well, Digital Chat Station revealed on Weibo today that the iQOO Neo 7 is indeed launching soon and also shared some key specifications of the phone.

iQOO Neo 6 launched in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but the iQOO Neo 7 is going the MediaTek route. As per DCS, the phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SOC. This also means we can expect an even more aggressive price since MediaTek chipsets cost lower than the high-end Qualcomm SOCs.

As for the other specs, there is a 120Hz AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution, and it is a flat panel. The phone also supports 120W fast charging, an upgrade over the 80W fast charging supported by iQOO Neo 6. Finally, DCS mentions that the phone has a 50MP Sony IMX766v sensor. Here, “V” in the name refers to “Vivo” because this is a customized version of the Sony IMX766 sensor, and as per Vivo, it offers better performance. Flagships, including the Vivo X70 Pro and iQOO 8 Pro, had this sensor too.

And well, that’s all we know so far. There is no information on the launch yet, but it should be happening soon. Stay tuned.
