The Asus Rog Phone 6 is going to launch on the 5th of July, which means we have a little over a week left for the official launch. While it is not yet confirmed, we are expecting Asus to launch more than one phone under the ROG Phone 6 lineup, just like last year when we got five phones under the ROG Phone series. Asus has already revealed some features of the phone, such as Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC, a 165Hz AMOLED panel, and an improved cooling system.

Recently, the phone was certified by TENAA, which revealed more specifications, but we did not get to see the design. Well, now, the TENAA listing has been updated with a couple of images of the phone, which give us our first look at the Asus Rog Phone 6.

As we know, a major redesign happens on the back each year, and this year is no exception. Compared to the ROG Phone 5 & 5s series, the ROG phone 6 looks like a completely different phone. It still rocks a secondary display on the rear, but we cannot say whether it is a color display like the ROG Phone 5 Pro or a monochrome panel like the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. The position of this second panel is also different this time.

The camera module on the back has a new shape, but the camera count remains the same as last year. And if this camera module design looks familiar to the prototype Asus phone that the company sent to many websites and YouTubers to test Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, then that’s because that was, in fact, the ROG Phone 6 prototype.

There is a ‘Tencent Gaming’ branding on the rear alongside the ‘ROG’ logo, but that’s for the Chinese market only.

And well, that is pretty much it. The rest of the design is the same as last year, so we have a display with top and bottom bezels & the selfie camera is there in the top bezel instead of inside a hole-punch cutout.

We know the major specifications already, so the phone has a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ 165Hz AMOLED panel, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC, up to 18GB RAM, a 64 Megapixel primary camera, a 6,000mAh battery & 65W fast charging. The phone also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.
