Beginners guide to creating successful YouTube channel

At some point you must of thought once or twice of starting your very own Youtube channel but just didn't have enough courage to start it or didn't know where to begin. You got to remember there are thousands of people start their own channels daily but give up after weeks or months because they don't see growth in their channel as quick as they would like. That goes to say that its much more difficult to make a success on YouTube than ever before because of how much content it is out there but that's not saying its impossible. To hopefully help you we created a blueprint or guidelines for you to follow to hopefully create a successful YouTube channel and who knows in few years it might become your full time job. A good place to start is to ask yourself the 4 W's questions.
Who?
who are you making your videos for? Who's gonna be your target audience, because you don't want to create random content otherwise it'll be very tricky to create a following of regular viewers.
What?
Now what type of content are you actually going to put out there, is it something people want to see? or is it something only you care about? Always think about what other people would love to see to make them subscribe and come back for more.
When?
How unique is your content, and has it been done before? the more unique your content is the more chances people will want to watch your channel.
Why?
One of the important questions you should ask yourself is why do you want to start a YouTube channel and start uploading, If you are thinking about all the millions you want to make then I most certainly guarantee that you will not go far with that mentality, However if you're passionate and enjoy creating content for people and like seeing weather they enjoy it or not regardless if there is a chance of making money of YouTube or not, then you have a very good chance of success.
Here is a list of most popular categories for creating content on YouTube with the most views and subscribers, remember if this is one of the categories you want to fall in that doesn't mean you not going to be creating a unique content, you still can make unique videos just within that category.
- Music.
- Gaming.
-Kids Content.
-Vlogs.
-Comedy.
-Beauty.
-Technology.
Name.
Next step is name of the channel, believe it or not this little detail can also effect how people view your channel, some people even go as far as judging the channel by its name before even seeing watching what sort of content they have to offer. So you need a catchy and easy to remember name. You can't just headbutt your keyboard and whatever comes out being happy with it, because that also shows how much you care about your channel. If you look at some of the popular YouTubers, their name is easy to remember which means more people will remember your channel if its simple and a catchy, specially if people only saw one of your videos that they liked and want to find your channel again.
Also a good tip is, just before you settle with a name check that its available on other Social Media Platforms and take it before someone else does. Because what big successful youtuber doesn't have other social media platforms that he can connect with his followers.
Equipment.
Anyone would tell you, that you can have the best content or ideas in the world but if you shooting it on your iphone 4, vertically, the chances are not many people are gonna stick around or even comeback for more. So you got to make sure you got the best equipment possible to match your content.
Below we give you some suggestions on what equipment you can invest in to take your channel to a new level and always bring your A game.
- Canon EOS 1300D DSLR Camera - Even tho these are slightly pricier, but will take your video quality from dodgy to dynamic.
- Sony DSCW800 Digital Compact Camera
- This mini-cams might be small and light, but boast seriously wide angled lenses for capturing those epic landscapes.
- Sony ILCE6000LB Compact System Camera -  Combined with light weight and portability, don't be fooled by its size because it shoots quality of the DSLR and is excellent for YouTube videos.
- AKASO EK7000 4K Sport Action Camera -  As the name suggests this one is perfect for action shots, with its 4K quality it will capture every detail to make the quality of your videos so much better and keep people coming back for more.
Its all good having a brilliant camera no matter how good the quality is, if you're always in the dark or the lighting isn't right, the video still can look very dull.  Its very important to have good audio, good lighting and a tripod!
- Rode Video-micro - microphone for excellent audio!
- Soft Box - To bring your level of quality to the professional level.
- GoPro Chest Mount Harness - For the Action camera.
- Tripod- To stabilize your video shots and make it even, so no longer will you have to balance your camera on a stack of books.
After you figured out what content you're making and who is it aimed at, you need to focus on the title of the video, and make sure you use your keywords correctly.
Click-bait titles.
Now what I mean by that is, you got to make sure your titles aren't boring, make them exciting so people will want to click on them, however don't make them misleading because people will not like that one bit.  For example if you made a video and called it ''my day out'' honestly not many people would want to click that specially when you haven't gain a following, instead what you should title your video is something exciting that you did on your day out, maybe ''crazy paintballing kill streak''
Keywords.
Try to create content that is relevant and up to date, and possibly trending. That way the chances are more people will be searching for that exact topic and will stumble up on your video.
With all that being said, now hopefully you will be motivated and excited to go out and create some content that people will love. I have got to mention something about YouTube though, it has changed over the years and as it is right now, unfortunately talent and hard work doesn't always win, I know YouTubers that bust their balls to put out some great content and they only have 400K subscribers, which is a lot! but not compared to what some other people have achieved by creating terrible content with their millions and millions of subscribers just because they used misleading keywords and titles. I wish you all the best in creating some amazing videos and hopefully soon you'll start gaining some subscribers!
