Final Fantasy XV – PS4 / Xbox One
Release Date: November 29
It’s been a while since a game from this once-legendary RPG series was as hyped and as anticipated asFinal Fantasy XV. And, from what we’ve seen so far, it surely seems to aim to meet, if not exceed expectations.
The game is humongous, and beautifully rendered, thanks to the power of today’s consoles. The story about warring nations and powerful beings isn’t too shabby either. Nor is its gameplay, which includes some of the biggest boss battles in recent years and four of the coolest dudes on a road trip.
Between its open-world adventure and action-oriented real-time combat,Final Fantasy XVcould be something special. Fingers crossed, it will be.

Cuphead – Xbox One / PC
Release Date: TBD 2016
More cartoon than video game, at least aesthetically, this side-scrolling indie captures the visual style of 20th century animated short films and puts it to good use in a game whose story revolves around a man with a coffee cup for a head.
As absurd as that may sound, Cuphead has shown through its trailers that the protagonist's looks are of no concern. This is because gamers will be too busy focusing on the game, which is set to become one of the prettiest 2D games ever. But, it’s not just pure eye candy, as the game also features unique play mechanics and boss showdowns.
Initially set to release back in 2015, the developers have stated that their decision to delay the release to 2016 was all so they could make the “best game possible”.
Steep – PS4 / Xbox One / PC
Release Date: December
Ubisoft has taken a step back from action games to focus onSteep, a winter sports game set to release this winter. Judging by how it looks, it seems that Ubisoft has spared no expense in making the game look awesome.
Allowing players to snowboard, use skis, wingsuits and paragliders at any time,Steepencourages players to explore its massive mountains however they see fit.
Featuring an all new experience,Steepis a hugely promising release that could end up being the start of a new AAA franchise.

Lawbreakers – PC
Release Date: TBD 2016
Hero-based shooters are all the craze these days, with Overwatch firmly being at the forefront. Although, it looks like LawBreakers could be a close second real soon.
Unlike Overwatch, LawBreakers is an amalgamation of many things. It’s a team-based affair, for sure. But, it’s also built more like a Classic Arena Shooter, similar to that of Quake III Arena and Unreal Tournament. Pair that with fast-paced, aggressive combat and gameplay that revolves around zero gravity, and you end up with a recipe for wanton mayhem.
Here's to hoping that it is a good sort of mayhem, so fans of classic arena shooter games finally have something they can regularly scratch their itch with.
