Whether you’re in a hurry or just looking for something quick and easy to whip up, these apple pie bites are perfect! They only take about 25 minutes from start to finish. You’ll only need 4 ingredients – phyllo dough, apple pie filling, cinnamon and egg. This recipe is perfect for snacking, gatherings and sharing with friends. Here’s how to make it.
This recipe has about 10 minutes of prep time and about 15 minutes of cooking time.
Equipment Needed
- rolling pin
- biscuit cutter
- silicone basting brush
- baking sheet
- cooling rack
- silicone baking sheet or large cutting board
Ingredients
1x 15 oz can apple pie filling
1 package frozen phyllo dough
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 egg white
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Let the phyllo dough come to room temperature as directed on the package.
Place the phyllo dough onto a silpat or large cutting board, creating a work surface.
Use a rolling pin to unroll and flatten the phyllo.
Use a biscuit cutter to cut round pie shapes.
Place pie filling onto half of the phyllo circles.
Place the phyllo circles without filling on top of the ones with filling.
Press around the sides of the layered circles with a fork to seal.
Use a silicone basting brush to cover the tops of the pies with the egg wash.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the mini apple pies from oven and top with cinnamon.
These mini pies are best served warm.
